My Lunch With Julie

Today's Writing Effort

Last night, before maxheadwidth and I went to sleep, we got pretty frisky. Every time I think of our Adult Fun Playtime, I smile and get that warm, happy, feeling.

Then the morning arrived and with it, the normal cats/chickens/bunnies/chicks/geese routine. But the chickens were a tad bit upset because they didn't get any meal worms. We were out and I wouldn't be able to get any for them until later in the day. One day without them wouldn't be so bad though. They probably wouldn't remember anyway.

Then I got ready for my day and headed into town. But I was behind schedule and didn't have time to get my Biolife donation done in the morning like I wanted, so I moved up some of my errands to make sure they got done. I turned in some empty toner cartridges to Staples for recycling. Then I got a little bit of non-perishable groceries. I got chicken feed and worms at Murdoch's and re-rented a video at Crazy Mike's.

Then it was time for the fun portion of my day. I got to have lunch with coffeejunkie and her boyfriend, Ken, and oldfellowbunyip. It was kind of like a double date. I hadn't seen Julie since she helped me clean my old apartment back in Bellingham. I really missed her and it was wonderful to see her again. I invited her and Ken out to the house tomorrow so that they could check it out. Even with the remodeling STILL going on, it's impressive. We had lunch at El Cazador and the food was pretty darn good. I kind of wish I wasn't driving so I could have had one of the strawberry margaritas that I remember being so good from when I lived in Missoula before.

When lunch was done, and it was time to go, Dan and I stopped into a place called Sweet Peaks Ice Cream, which is just down the street from El Cazador. We didn't get anything because we were pretty full from lunch, but it's definitely a place I would like to try one of these days.

Dan and I went to the library next to get more books and to just hang out somewhere quiet and be in each other's company. It was really nice. I ended up getting a $2.00 book about a library cat from Iowa. I read a little bit of it and it made me cry.

Sadly, I had to take Dan home so that he could get some more work done and so that I could pick up Ethan, Bastion, and AJ from school. James and Jenny were going to process some of the older bunnies and they didn't want the boys to be around for that. AJ might be okay with it, but Ethan and Bastion probably wouldn't be alright seeing dead bunnies. So I picked up Ethan and dropped off something at Mariah's house and then got Bastion and AJ and we went for ice cream at Dairy Queen.

After our outing, I let AJ drive us home. I was exhausted all of a sudden. I needed a nap like crazy, but I knew that I wasn't going to get one. I still had to go to do my Biolife donation. So I dropped off the boys and unloaded the car and then went back to town to do my donation. It was meh. And when I came home, there was some food for me from dinner, but I was so tired that I decided that the dishes could wait until tomorrow.

So I watched a little TV and had a little dinner and got to text with priapussy who is on his way home from Phoenix to Bellingham with Justin.

And, as a great bit of news, Dan has given my manuscript to an Editor he knows and that's in the works. The Editor has a few projects he's working on, so it may take a little time to get to my book, but that's okay with me. At least there will be progress on that front.
