The Fair Is A Veritable Smorgasbord......
Today's Writing Effort
I accidentally woke up this morning an hour early at 7:00am. Even though I knew that Bastion went to Kitty's last night, I went down to his room to wake him up to go to Driver's Ed. But Ethan was sleeping in his room instead and I apologized for waking him up and went back to bed for an hour. When I woke up again, I took a shower and was going to get dressed, when maxheadwidth asked me to come back into the bedroom. Apparently he was feeling frisky and wanted some Adult Fun Playtime and I was more than happy to oblige.
But then I had to get dressed and go into town to see Dan like I had arranged the day before. I drove into town and went to his apartment. We talked for a while before having Snuggle time and talked after too and even watched a little TV together. As a side note, I think one of his cats is starting to like me a little bit. Just a little though. :)
After the show, I went to the Fair. James was manning a food truck for the Masons from 11:00am-4:00pm and Jenny was bringing Amber and the three boys out to the fair around 3:00pm or so. But until then, I ate a corndog and had a coke. I had a small funnel cake with powdered sugar, whipped cream, and strawberries. I rode on the Ferris Wheel, the Merry Go Round, and the Tilt-A-Whirl. I browsed some of the shops and bought a little something for someone special, which I put in the car to keep it from getting messed up or stolen.
I met Jenny, Amber, Ethan, AJ, and Bastion at James' food truck and AJ and I went to ride some rides. Well, I watched him ride a couple of rides and I got him to go on the Ferris Wheel with me. We also ran into Ethan and Bastion and I went with them while they rode a few rides. While I was waiting in line for the Mean Machine (aka The Sizzler), Ethan and Bastion bailed to go do their own thing and AJ and I waited in line, though the ride was down for a long while and I finally gave up and we left to go to something else. AJ went to hang out with some friends and I went to find James, Jenny, and Amber. I got a Sno Cone and some Cotton Candy along the way.
We looked at some animals; cows, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, birds, and bunnies. We were looking for bunnies to breed for meat bunnies, but couldn't find any for sale that weren't dwarf bunnies. But we did get some good leads on where to go for that sort of thing. So it wasn't a wasted trip. I also got to pet a bunny and it was so soft and adorable.
After that, we went back to the food area and got some rest. James was kind of wiped out from slinging burgers and whatnot for hours on end and I was kind of beat too. I had spent most of the day hot and sweaty ... even while indoors. ;)
Ethan and Bastion found us and we went to ride a couple more rides before we were supposed to go out to have dinner at HuHot because James couldn't really eat any of the Fair food. But by the time we were almost ready to get on the Ferris Wheel, our second ride, the others were ready to go. So I took Ethan and Bastion on the ride and then we left to meet the others at the restaurant. And we arrived just as they did. Great timing.
Dinner was lovely, but there were a lot of people there.
After dinner, Jenny and Amber went to go do some stuff and I took Bastion and AJ back to the fair and then took James and Ethan out to WalMart for some things and then back to the house. I got to be there for maybe an hour before I had to go back to town to get the other boys. But before I left, James and I had a talk about some things that were bothering Ethan that he told Mariah and that Mariah told James.
So when I left to go to town, Ethan came with me and we had a little talk. It was all very circumspect, but I tried to address some of the things that he was mistaken about or had faulty information about. I didn't get to cover everything because it wasn't a candid, serious Talk.
The ride back was chatty but ultimately uneventful. When we got back, the boys basically went to bed and James and I had a long talk in the kitchen while I made him some fried eggs. Mostly it was about Ethan and Jenny and Shani and some things that needed to be addressed by the both of us.
After a while, it was late and we decided to do our evening things and go to sleep together.
