A Day Of Many Birthdays
Today's Writing Effort
I woke up early, but not as early as I wanted to. That turned out for the best because maxheadwidth came out to the kitchen where I was putting away the clean dishes, and he wishes me a good trip and I promised that I would drive safely and come home to him.
The trip out to Kalispell was long. I stopped in Polson to potty, but other than that, I didn't make any stops until Bigfork. I stopped in to see my brother, Spencer, and was shocked at the level of filth and disrepair the place is in. He totally needs an intervention or something.
But Spencer said he would make it to the party and so I left for Kalispell. I had to stop at the Best Buy there to see if I could get the game system that Ethan was supposed to get on his birthday. James had ordered it, but it was on back order and we got tired of waiting for it to arrive. The employee there said all the stores would get some tomorrow and to try then. I was disappointed, but at least all hope is not lost.
I left and drove to Cory's house and hung out with him and Evelyn Rose and their cat, Princess. Princess loved me. So did Evelyn of course. We used sidewalk chalk to draw pictures and we had mac and cheese together and then we all went to get some stuff for the party and went to the park.
I helped set up and played with Evelyn including swinging with her and helping her ride her new bike. I had some food and hung out until about 3:00pm and then I had to drive back.
Again, the drive back was uneventful and I was so glad to be home.
I got here just as Marc's birthday dinner was being served. James made bacon wrapped rabbit and Gina made deviled eggs and bacon wrapped dates. Mmmmm. Bacon.
EDIT:
Game was thrilling and it was really good to see everyone. I did get so swept up in everything that I forgot to let my brothers know that I got home safely. *Le Sigh* And Jenny came home while we were playing and then I think she took Bastion to spend the night at Mariah's with Ethan and AJ.
And when game was over and our friends had left, I cleaned the kitchen, including scrubbing the counters well, and James and I went to bed together.
