Today's Writing Effort

maxheadwidth and I woke up super early. He had an all day Mason event that he had to attend and he was super sure that he had to be there at 7:00am. So the night before I had packed up all my things and after throwing on my work clothes and putting everything in the truck, I drove us into town. I parked by the building he needed and it wasn't open yet, so we went to Liquid Planet, a nearby café, and waited there, talking about music and things. Then, after about twenty minutes, he went to check to see if the building was open and I said that if he wasn't back in ten minutes, that I would assume he was in and I was going to Uber back to my dorm room.

After ten minutes, with no return, I took off. I walked down Higgins to a gas station across the bridge in order to cut down on the cost of the ride and made it back to my dorm room without any fuss. The gal did have a cute little cocker spaniel in the back seat of her truck named Charlie, who was the cutest puppy ever. She even gave me little doggie kisses.

I spent the morning putting my things away and getting ready for the rest of my day and reading a little bit. I had work at 2:00pm and work was work. It rained in a bit of a downpour for most of my shift and I was not going to go get carts in that weather. I wasn't prepared for it. I don't even own a poncho, just an umbrella, and it's impossible to push a line of carts and hold an umbrella effectively.

After work I took another Uber back to my dorm room. It's the one thing I spend money on that's not rent, storage, or bills. It's the only way I can justify it to myself.

I miss James already. I know he's going for work, but I still wish I could go with him. *Le Sigh* This is going to be the longest almost-week ever.
