Well I thought I better make a LJ update. But not as insanely as I did last week. My need to act like a sloth in most things that I do prevails.
I've still been hitting it hard at the gym 5 days a week par this weekend as I am doing a full day of overtime this Saturday. I think it's a good thing that I force myself to still go even when Monique can't make it. Only thing is my body is getting starting to get used to some things so I think that next week I need to increase my weights in my pump class.
THURSDAY
- Work
- Body Combat class
FRIDAY
- Work
- Lunch at Shark Hotel with Monique & Ramona
- Drinks at Star Bar with Ramona, Monique, Rhys & Hulusi
- Dinner at Fully Tabouli with Belinda
- DVDs at Bel's place
SATURDAY
- Body Combat class held by my family friend - she was good and has become bloody buff since I last saw her as a teen.
- House of Knives
- Dinner at some African eatery with Chris
- Watched Transfomers
SUNDAY
- House of Knives
- Shopping at Wetherill Park - found a place like Sugar Fix there - picked cans of Hawaiian Punch, Dr Pepper, Dr Pepper Berries & Cream as well as some candy corn and Milky Way Midnight.
MONDAY
- Work
- Body Attack class
TUESDAY
- Work
- 2007 Melbourne Cup - was put in charge with Monique to gather donations and get enough food and drinks for afternoon tea and watch the "race that stops the nation" in our conference room. I put in $2 in the sweep at work. I picked out Dolphin Jo - I hate dolphins because they can be classed together with horses and perhaps cats as being one of those animals you liked growing up as a female (I brought my fair share of dolphin figures, etc for friends). But my horse did okay. It didn't place in the top 3 but it went from like 3rd, 4th and then finally 5th. Now that's an effort to keep up as most horses who do well in the beginning drop to the back of the pack by the end but I am happy for the consistency.
- Ramona, I plan to roll your dad for winning the $5 sweep stake!!!
- May have did a bit of identity fraud when Chris from work refused to sign up to Facebook but Ramona, Monique, Ly and I decided to set up an account for him. We took some of the stuff we knew from previous conversations, Monique had a conversation to get his DOB, etc. Some fallacies as we originally signed up with his email account forgetting an email would be sent to him to confirm the account so we got busted. We made up a second account using Ramona's email address and then changed the email to his and the forgot the confirmation email would be sent to him - DAMN!!! But he caved in cos we had everything all set up for him.
- Cycle class - I was pretty hard and I cheated my way in the class towards the end as the instructor kept screaming "Turn it up!" and I would slowly turn down the dial and I could see her looking at Monique and me because of it.
WEDNESDAY
- Happy 7 Eleven day! Did you remember to say that to the clerk when you went there that day? If you did, you would have received a free mini Slurpee. Heaps people did so to the one downstairs at work and in the end, the dude didn't care that they just walk in and walk out with all these slurpees.
- Lack sun = lack vitamin D = depressing mood.
- Body pump class by myself.
- Met up with Dale at Bar Ace. Had a drink with him before he headed off to the Bad Religion concert. Dale pointed out to a person near the bistro who kept staring at him. He was like, "Is that a transvestite?" I looked and it looked like a tall Asian lady wearing a bucket hat. Jawline seemed very square, masculine, maybe a bit of stubble around the area but can't be sure cos she was too far away.
- Went over to Diane's house to help out with transcribing her video presentation for her uni assignment. I think I grasped the idea of imitation and appropriation quicker than some of the dimwits in her fine arts class. She thinks so too - hahaha.
- We watched the first episode of "Dexter" then she dropped me home.
"Dexter" is my favourite new show. The main character is a blood splatter analysis for the Miami Police and but his real persona is that he is a serial killer of serial killers basically a vigilante. Michael C. Hall (from "Six Feet Under" fame plays the character Dexter so well with passion, he reminds me of Patrick Bateman from "American Psycho" - I LOVE IT!!!
I did Body Combat after work with Monique this arvo - I'm having a bit of fun with it but am so uncoordinated, it's not funny.
Noddy told me today that he is giving the legal manager of our department a good word about me so the guy knows my name, my qualifications and my experience and apparently this guy is interested in me and so I have to wait for legal positions to open up again and apply. Not sure if I want to go there cos when Noddy asked me if I wanted to practice the other day, I said I wasn't sure. For him, it would be a pay cut. But also what we are doing now is more interesting than looking a prohibited materials. I concur. But let's see how this all goes after election. Then Noddy turns around and asks me whether he is too old to go to the "Ruby Rabbit". What do I say to that? Ask him how old he is and make a guess upon that?
WEEKEND:
FRIDAY: WOP Farewell Party - O'Cram (or Marco) continues with his travels before heading home to Italy.
(Depending on how late this goesand what's happening, may catch up to Phil's birthday or take the offer of Scrabble: the drinking game. Systematically invented by Diane and Dale, they hope to kick my ass after kicking his ass in Scrabulous).
SATURDAY: Overtime followed by Juliana's BBQ - should be cool to catch up with her since I haven't seen her since grad.
SUNDAY: Newtown Festival with work people - that should be pretty fun!!! Yay the dog show! Sarcasm intended.
