So my subsription is up Feb 23 for this account and I'm heavily thinking about not renewing. Either I'm not savvy enough for a wowswer journal style or the tools are just not workable enough for me. It sounds like you are looking for a break. I couple of my friends are taking a break for live journal, not posting as much, avoiding the site, etc.

The inbox feature is no longer located on the home feature, you CAN see it in the form of the message center at My LJ located on the side bar. In My LJ, the inbox is the Message Center block.

If you are looking to do the pics, videos, stories, it's best to keep the blog paid, as you do get more memory to do those things. There has also been some movement to a different blog setting at Dreamwidth.

From what I hear there is more creative options with Dreamwidth, but it is a bit more expensive for a paid account.

Dreamwidth is something I have thought about, but I'm not willing currently to move over, b/c LJ is something I've always had, but should LJ do something really stupid, like their massive journal deletion they did a couple years ago, or/and more of my communities and friends move there, then I would consider it.

Yeah I have so many blogs it's a wonder I can keep anymore. Thanks for the offer. I think I might be able to post everything. I do have a paid photobucket account that I can load tons of stuff on and just embed it here that way I'm not using the memory from LJ. We shall see. Thanks again and miss ya girlie!

I would like using my LJ especially for the different options it has for the paid account. I wish I could have more userpics though.

Yeah funny thing is I use a certain amount of pics but then I make new ones or use new ones and never really use the old ones again. :P

Hey hun. Not to worry. I'm not leaving LJ. I just decided to let the paid account lapse so I went back to free status or whatever that might be. I see a few changes but not much that I can't live without. I'm sorry Deb's going through a hard time. I hope the issue with the thyroid gets solved. It really can damper a person's quality of life when a gland goes haywire. Thanks for the comments and I'm sticking around.
