So right now I'm sitting down with a rather bland blend of herbal green tea trying to save the world. What could possibly be threatening the world at this time that would make bland tea an acceptable beverage, you ask? Simple really - my mother's ancient (going on 8 years now) computer refuses to access the Internet when it has been commanded to. My mother is about really to blow up in apocalyptic rage the likes of which I haven't witnessed since that one time in high school where I "disappeared" for nearly fourteen hours.
Unfortunately I don't think there is anything I can do to fix the Internet connection problem she's currently having. The wireless works great (as evidenced by this post sent via wifi from my iPhone) and the Ethernet connection works just fine on the laptop too (which is also wifi capable).
So, dear world, if in the next hour or so the earth begins to shake under your feet and the wind begins to blow hot and fiery across the land, skies darkening while the oceans and rivers boil away - I apologize. But there was nothis more I could do to save you.
