And I just read the news article thingy on gateworld that says SG:U got the green light. I don't know if I'm more insulted than upset at this point since apparently, in my early/mid twenties, I'm considered part of the "older" viewers because I liked SGA.
What upsets me most is that I have to grudgingly say that the idea they have for Universe might be interesting to watch... if they don't follow their typical pattern and screw it up.
A few days ago I went to my Stargate f-list (I haven't been in a couple of weeks) and the first thing I see are three posts saying 'canceled, canceled and canceled'. I just turned off the screen

So they are comparing their viewers and fans to junkies now? I think I have moved beyond disgusted with the producers at this point.
I don't get counted as part of their target audiance because I am a single white female in my early twnties. And now they look at me, when they bother to consider what my demographic contributes to their ratings, like I'm a junkie looking for my next high? So what, they're street dealers who are trying to sway me away from my prefered brand of narcotic?
I don't mean to rant at you, but I'm actually really very upset with some of the things I've read lately. I feel dirty and insulted, and in a vauge sort of way violated too.

Which is of course ridiculous since I know people who watched Atlantis and had no idea SG-1 existed before Carter showed up and others who never even considered watching SGA after the original series.
It doesn't matter what it is, our shows or our countries , it's always run by idiots. Jeeeez, I got myself all depressed now and it's not even nine...
