So my friend and I went to see The Amazing Spider-Man. I quite enjoyed it. There wasn't a lot of people there so when we came in there was only two other people and we got really good seats. I resisted the urge to rant, so there was only a couple of outbursts (one of which was tears, but I wasn't alone).
Originally we were going to see Brave but she's already seen it so we went with Spider-Man, her choice. Which actually surprised me somewhat since she had issues with Andrew Garfield. Totally enjoyed it though. I may have had some issues with some parts in regards to some of the less hygienic parts of the movie (if you touch a fly, you don't touch your mouth!) but over all it was enjoyable.
How much did I love Stan Lee? Made me laugh.
Also I may have cried. It wasn't something I could have helped. Usually I can hold the tears. Especially out in public but then I hear my friend sniffling and my tears were all like "freedom!" It was a good thing there was a couple of napkins left from my nacho napkin stash.
The ending was kind of unnecessarily elongated with Gwen but I could live with it. Specially since I have this issue with making promises and breaking them, specially if you make that promise to a dying man who saved you. That's was just over for me. The lizard was sufficiently reptilian. The lizard-mouse...I just wanted to know what happened to the lizard-mouse. Why would they leave it alone, who knows what shenanigans that things got into.
I liked how Flash got better in the end. Still a douche, no excuse for his actions in the beginning but at least it got better in the end. My friend and I were discussing the possibility of the dude who played him being in the Venom movie but technically he isn't the first Venom?
Anyway good movie. Very enjoyable. Also the dad of the kid was in Criminal Minds. Also one of Gwen's brothers is totally young Shawn in the newer seasons of Psych.
I though Andrew Garfield did a great job as Peter, my friend's issues with him aside, he was good, he made us cry and I can't really think of anyone who's done that before. So kudos to you sir, kudos.
If (when) they make a sequel I kind of hope they keep the same people. Otherwise I'd be upset.
Good movie, enjoyable and fun.
