Why all the rain?
I seriously love the fact that it isn't snowing (and I'm hoping I don't inadvertently jinx the weather) but the rain is totally getting me down. It isn't that I don't like the rain, I actually love it when it rains but I've just found a leak on my ceiling! D:
And of all the places that the leak could possibly be located it was over a power bar. I went to grab my iPod and it was plugged into the power bar when I felt water on my arm and was like "what the heck?" I look down and the power bar was sitting on a little puddle of water with like droplets on the actual bar itself. I thank God that I wasn't like electrocuted or something and was able to turn the power off.
The leak was also over my shelves. I had to move my DVDs. Some of which were wet. Kyou Kara Mao was quite soaked. This saddens me but I could have been worse. My Rurouni Kenshin and Panic! at the Disco boxes were right next to it, same with my Stargate Atlantis sets. So I'm happy to say that those weren't damaged.
I can't say the same for me though. I asked my brother to grab me a bowl and he grabbed on from the kitchen, I put it on the shelf (stupidly) and while I was trying to unplug the power bar without getting electrocuted it fell. Shattered like a bitch and I got a few cuts on my leg, at least I was wearing slippers. Unfortunately after I swept the floor of pieces of the bowl it came to my knowledge that there was a sliver in my slipper. I stepped on it and bled like heck. The pieces also got on my bed I had to shake my covers out and to be certain I'm washing them. So here I am waiting for my laundry to finish so I can fix my bed (which is now in a position I do not like but I've no choice but to put it in) and hope that I can get someone to look at the leak. I'm praying that there's no more leaks and no more of my things get wet.
On the up side only Kyou Kara Maoh was really wet and I was able to dry it off fairly well, I wasn't electrocuted, I caught the leak before it did more damage, and it wasn't over my books (or my pretty pretty box sets). On the down side it's still raining, my room is not positioned as I like and my toe hurts.
So all in all...I really just hope it stops raining and someone can fix my ceiling D:
