Can I get a f*k'n smile please?
For the past two days I've had strong thoughts (more like intentions, lol) about going to Sonic and getting an extra long chili-cheese coney. NOT sure why, as I worked there in my teen years and am notorious about telling people the weenie used is made of the leftover meats put through a food processor then topped with fake chili sauce and greasy cheese. The only "fresh" part is the bun -- and I hope the unept teenager that made it didn't drop it on the floor, then in hopes to save time picked it up and served to ME anyway. Aside from my OCD germaphobe craziness, I still like an extra long cheese coney from Sonic every now and again.
So I planned to get my extra long chili-cheese coney today after school and scarf it down before I went to put in a few hours at my weekly accounting gig. I left school as normal and headed over to the nearest Sonic by my lil job. I pulled up and finished a phone call.....then I so happily pressed the red button anxiously awaiting to place my order. I glance up at the menu board and see that they had a coney and tot's deal for $2.99. I was so excited! I got to have my coney and FREE tots too! YAY! I placed my order along with a large water and patiently awaited my coney. This girl comes up to my window and turns her head away from me (and towards the tray with my food) and says "hey how ya doin....(and immediately goes into)....so I got....." from that point on I hadn't a clue what she was saying. Her head was completely turned away from me and you tell by her tone and body language she wasn't real impressed. I'm thinking, if you don't wanna be here at least fake it and give me a freakin smile or something - dang. I said "what?" and she repeated herself again looking away from me, then hands my food and drink to me one by one. I look at her while setting each item in my car, and flung a $5 her way. I gladly took every penny of change she gave me and hurridly rolled up my electric window. I know she was pissed I didn't give a tip. (which by the way -- is the first time I've done that) I didn't care. I was so excited about getting my coney and she had to be such a downer. Screw that. I ate my coney and tots and loved every bite. Later I paid for it with a sour stomach but it was SO worth it.
