Ah, roommates and such
This is an attempt to update my living situation...
So like a month ago you'll remember I wrote an entry about my roommate possibly leaving. Well, since that time she told me she is for sure. At first it was supposedly with some other friends in an apartment, but I get to sign papers yesterday about the whole thing, and evidently she got placed in a single room. Yay for her! I don't know if that is disappointing compared to getting to live with her friends in the apartment or not, but singles are hard to get, so I see it as good. At least things with that are settled for her, as I know it is frustrating to have confusion about your living arrangement.
Now the next step is for her to actually pack up and go! This is supposed to happen tomorrow sometime, so I am assuming that I will have a half-empty room (oh no, am I a pessimist?) when I return from Winter Formal on Friday night. Hopefully the move goes smoothly. I wonder if I'll be getting a new roommate or if I'll have my own room for a while? Hmm... I was also thinking about looking at room vacancies for Dolan Hall since that's where the other transfer students are living for the most part and most of my friends on campus live there. Maybe 122 Campion will be totally empty! How sad! :-P Well, whatever happens, happens.
SIDE NOTE: Anyone want to move furniture? I'm not sure if I want to bunk the beds or not, but if I do, I'm sure it's way too heavy for me to do alone!
Back to the business of Friday! ...I always have busy Fridays because class ends at 2 and I run to my car to go to Skateland for a lesson at 3ish. Well this week I get to do that, then hopefully my coach will do my hair, I'll race to my house to pick up a dress, go back to John Carroll to get dressed (hopefully people will not be in the room moving Maeghan's stuff, because I plan to be squishing in and out of dresses and shoes!!!), do makeup, and hope that Mike is here in enough time and I am ready fast enough to make it to the Blizzard Ball at the Sheraton downtown Cleveland before dinner is served at 6:30! Then we'll dance the night away! *sigh* busy weekend! Saturday I will be working both sessions, so I won't be done with work until like 11:45. Hopefully I find something fun to do after!
So to wrap up... my roommate is leaving Friday. I may be leaving. Friday will be a very busy day! I don't have a clue about where I'll live next year. Commute from home? Live on campus? Live near school with someone? Therese, will you just move to Cleveland already? I loved rooming with you! *sigh again* If anyone has interesting stories along these lines, please post! :)
