Shjdkjhbjkgkjef two days at trying to word such a large question properly and I’m staring at a blank page and it is mocking me.
As some of you already know from my flailing in the OOC channel, I had the distinct pleasure of going to see the Hunger Games last weekend. It also acted as the major inspiration for this question though you should be able to partake in it even if you haven’t seen the movie/read the books. I would watch the trailer though:

I want you to imagine your character in the Hunger Games. Furthermore I want you to imagine that the other competitors are the people you interact with on the Project or LJ. Got it? Good.
Tell me all about it. I’m not really going to ask a specific question here because there is no specific question I want to ask. I want to know how your character would survive, and who they would partner up with, and any other interesting details you can think of that would affect how they played.
Jad's answers are under the cut and you can feel free to yoink the questions for your own shenanigans or come up with all your own that I'll yoink.
As usual the question is open to everyone for answering and discussion purposes. That includes the small deluge of people I recently added. Hi! \o
Jad
Wanted Allies: Aenstrian, Ashwake, Vorrick, Thistle, Sere, Kres
Fast and clever. He might not think much of them otherwise but they would be his first picks at allies because he could trust them to get from Point A to Point B without alerting everyone in a hundred mile radius that they’re there. There’s also no one in this mix that could easily overpower him in a scuffle which will help him sleep at night.
Potential Threats: Nikkitah, Thistle, Sere, Isandre
Melee types would be a danger that Jad would do his best to avoid, with the goal being to ambush them or bring them down with traps/treachery. They pose the greatest risk at the start when all the competitors are close by and he hasn’t had the chance to disappear yet and would thus be an easy target.
Sere and Thistle because they’re hunters and hunters suck, yo. Camped up in trees with their bows and just /waiting/.
Playstyle: He would risk the initial brawl in order to grab some supplies and a pair of workable pointy things but after that he’d do his best to avoid ever being seen again. Control is highly important to him and the majority of the first day would be spent trying to lockdown an area of the arena and create as many traps as he possibly could. Fakes campfires would be lit as he lurked in the bushes or trees and waited for someone to come by.
Weapons: Anything like a sword or a spear is out because it would be far too heavy/awkward for him to use effectively. Similarly, he wouldn’t go for a bow unless he knew he would have access to a strong supply of arrows. He’s not the best shot ever and he’d run out pretty damn fast if the supply was small.
Knives. Daggers. Things like rope and net so that he could get creative with his traps.
Death Comes Swiftly: Jad would most likely bite it if he got caught in some sort of melee bloodbath. He’s competent with his weapons of choice (provided he has them) but an all out brawl isn’t his sort of thing and the more melee-oriented fighters would pose a significant problem for him. Similarly, a one-on-one fight in restricted quarters with a melee fighting will likely end poorly unless he goes up a tree or has the time to plan ahead for the attack.
If he isn’t able to recruit the hunters onto his team they’ll probably be his end; there’s a reason he wanted them where he could watch them (and kill them easily). Since the Games are essentially one big hunt, these guys have the natural advantage and they’re often just as sneaky and patient as he is. They also have the added bonus of being to drop him from a distance if he makes an obvious target of himself.
Hunters also have the added bonus of being good with traps which means they’ll probably see his before they spring them. L
