The first "news story" I remember was the all day screening of Charles & Diana's Wedding... and all I can remember is that monster train going down the aisle.
The first actual news story I can remember was when the French were doing nuclear testing in the Pacific. I was in year 11 doing English Issues assignments and I had to collect articles about it and try to critically analyse them for the assignment. Was a pretty good assignment too, really, because if you did it right you got to see the different spins it was getting all over the world.
