"... this is our moment. this is our time-- to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the american dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth- THAT OUT OF MANY, WE ARE ONE; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people: yes we can." - president barack obama

shocked? i think this is a good thing. i think the right man won. i think that we need change, even though it's tough. the "you can keep your change" slogan is so tired. i cannot see how americans don't think we need change? our economy is failing, and we are on the brink of a depression. americans are steadily loosing their jobs, health care is a disaster, foreign relations are non-existent... and i could go on. with all the things i listed.. how can people say we don't need change? after 8 years of disappointment, i think a change is definitely needed. i'm really excited to see what obama is going to do, as i am sure everyone else as well. i'm excited that there is a man in office who has an open mind, who isn't going to stick to what we are all comfortable with, but instead make new paths. we need progression. i'm only disheartened by those who still have negative things to say. instead of bickering and complaining about what no one knows will happen, we should unite not divide.
