It has been a rather eventful couple of weeks.
Last Friday I went with some of my friends to see Russell Howard in York. It was a tiny venue and he was amazing as always. There were time I was crying with laughter, which is always a good sign. I wasn't impressed with having to pay £6.40 for a glass of wine (!!) but afterwards,
this happened, which more than made up for it.
On Friday we had a Superhero day at work to raise money for charity. A few of us dressed up and had a fun day mostly messing around. I went as Wonder Woman and was rather pleased with how my outfit turned out.
Why is no one talking about last night's Doctor Who?
My mind is officially blown. I have to watch the whole season again, because clearly Amy hasn't been Amy since the first episode and I want to know if there have been any clues besides the woman in the wall and the fluctuating pregnancy. I'm interested in what this will mean for The Doctor and Rory, who will be on their own together for the first time and what exactly the Doctor knows about where Amy is. Mostly I'm just happy that this genuinely shocked me in the best way.
Matt Smith was incredible this episode too. Not that he isn't normally, but showing the different sides of the Doctor and tapping into his dark side, making it all perfectly realistic, was just wonderful. I don't think there's ever enough made of how dark the Doctor can be, so it's always interesting when it's explored.
All in all, I can't wait for next week.
Finally, I'm doing the Race for Life 10K in York on June 19th. If anyone would like to sponsor me, my sponsorship page is
here.
Now, I have a nice evening of Coupling, Doctor Who, Press Gang and wine ahead of me. I love Bank Holidays!
