So I got to purgatory when Jack touched his dad's coffin. Slightly quicker than Jack, but I don't mind. I actually loved that explanation. I love the idea that they were all waiting for each other.
Every single meeting made me happy. The look of pure joy on Hurley's face when Charlie opened the motel door. The way Charlie couldn't stop staring at Claire. Sawyer and Juliet. Shannon and Boone (though I would have enjoyed some Shannon & Boone interaction, still SHANNON AND BOONE).
I don't actually mind that there are questions still outstanding. In the end I didn't need everything to be explained. It was satisfying enough without anymore exposition, that would frankly have had to be shoe-horned in.
Liam was there! And Penny (it would have been nice if she'd had a line or something). Charlie and Claire made me cry like a baby. Daniel and DriveShaft playing music together. ♥ The symmetry of that final scene with Jack, lying down in the same place, with Vincent barking and his eye closing. Who needs answers when you get moments like that?
I have an odd feeling I'm going to go through my flist and people are going to have hated it, but Lost was always about people and their relationships and how they fit together and how their lives crossed and changed and that's what the end did for me.
I thought it was brilliant. ♥ show.
