Yesterday I spent half my day at
Beamish Museum which was fun even though only the town was open and it rained most of the time.
Afterwards I saw Sweeney Todd....
and I didn't find it half as gruesome or disturbing as I was expecting it to be. Tim Burton makes really beautiful looking films, regardless of the plot of acting or anything else, you could never deny that his films are good to look at. And I don't think there was anything at fault with the acting here, nor the singing. No, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter aren't professional singers, but that just made it better for me. They felt more like real people. It was funny and cruel and twisted and utterly wonderful.
