This weekend was intense and horrible and scandalous and amazing.
Friday night I discovered some things about Brad that suprised me, and I drove through sprinklers on a golf cart with him and Eric.
Saturday was the scavenger hunt, in San Fransisco. We were split up into groups of 6, given a list of things to do and dropped off in the city at 10:30 a.m. with a camera and instructions to have pictures developed by 5:45. Here is what my group ended up doing in less than a six hour time span:
1. Eat an "earthquake" (8 scoops of icecream, bananas, and whipped cream) at Ghirardelli square.
2. Take a dip in the Pacific Ocean- be creative (yes, we did go skinny dipping, and yes, I have pictures)
3. Get a police officer to handcuff you (remember, actually getting arrested will disqualify you)
4. Get the entire line at Ghirardelli square to chant "Hershey's is better!"
7. Find the most crooked street in the world- do something creative (we took a picture of the three guys holding hands, if people said that it's not crooked, we'd say "well it's not straight!"
9. Buy a staff member a unique gift (purple dildo)
10. Get a male makeover at Macy's
11. Find a stanford Alum- get them to donate money to our dorm
12. Find your staff member a date- picture and phone number (she was very hot, btw)
13. Have all the women in your group "use" a urinal.
15. Play rock paper scissors w/ a berkely alum
17. Build a human pyramid in front of the trans american tower
18. Start a protest (we got a group of people chanting "down with bush", which was funny because 2 of our group members were republican)
19. Get a police officer to autograph your body
20. Moon the blue and gold fleet- extra points for writing "cal sucks" on your buttocks (yes, my ass still has an "a" on it.
21. Get in a compromising position with the mermaids in the fountain at ghirardelli square.
22. Apply to be a stripper, bring back the application.
23. Kiss a random stranger on the street (I didn't do this one, the guy that betsy kissed was hot though)
25. Join the band fiver, who will be playing at amoeba records at 2 pm.
26. Ring the bell in a cable car
27. Read beat poetry aloud at city lights
28. Reenact "Lady and the Tramp" at an Italian restaurant.
29. Sell a piece of clothing that someone in your group is wearing to wasteland. Bring back the reciept.
30. Take a picture in a limousine.
33. Makeout at Coit tower (yes, all six of us did pair up and take scandalous pictures.
35. Take a picture of someone who looks like one of the staff members.
36. Play "duck-duck-goose" w/a group of tourists.
37. Kiss the lions at the gates to china town
38. Get a hooter girl t-shirt
39. Get a library card at the san fransisco library
40. fit your entire group in a telephone booth- photograph it.
42. Do a street show and get paid for it (wade break danced, it was hot)
43. Eat edible underwear off someone (even hotter)
45. Be wild with the "where the wild things are" exhibit in the metreon.
47. find the coolest souvenir in china town for under 3$ (we found a crazy clock for 99 cents
48. Eat garlic ice cream at the stinking rose.
Wow so that was good times.
Sunday was not so good times, much more emotional turmoil. This was also intense, yet in a different, much more draining way. Love is such a funny thing, isn't it? Grappling with my sense of time and pace.
Also on sunday I got a solo for mixed co. I'm singing "this love" by marroon 5. Very exciting, yes?
