This already is off to a bad start. So anyway, I stop on a photo of Matthew McConaughey with his son. In this photo they are both sporting Brazil soccer jerseys. His wife is Brazilian and their two children are therefore half Brazilian. And generally Brazil is a good team, so why not support a good team, right? The heading on the page asks, "Is it OK to root for another country's team?"
On the page they had a comment given by Kathie Lee and she said,
"It's one thing to root for a country, but another to be willing to die for it. Check your surroundings and limit your alcohol."
What in God's name is this dumb bitch talking about?!?!? Considering the time in which this magazine was released and the sheer fact that they were wearing Brazil jerseys makes it pretty damn obvious that the magazine was CLEARLY referring to the World Cup. I've heard stories about Kathie Lee saying some asinine things on the Today Show and I've never witnessed any of it, but this has got to take the cake. She tried to make it political and then just ended up looking like a stupid idiot. If they want to wear Brazil jerseys and support the team, let them! For Christ's sake, I'm a Canadian Filipino and I was supporting England. Mind you Canada didn't even have a team in the World Cup, but that's besides the point! People can support who they want during the World Cup. Simple as that. *Snorts* Dumbass broad.
