Saw a film last night - NEW YORK DOLL - that opens in theatres this Friday (see below blurb for details). I do not want to pontificate my thoughts about the film, I will just say that it reminded me why I was ever passionate about film in the first place. It is an extremely indie film that needs your box office support. I am sure that by word of mouth, you all would get around to seeing it anyway, but with current film success dynamics, opening night is important to a film and filmmakers' longevity.

I promise you will be glad you went...

real quick: Mormonism, Rock, and one man's life experience that will make you believe in some kind of devine meaning. Structured around the bass player from the historically influential New York Dolls, this doumentary explores ironic juxtapositions, heart, honesty, and humor extracted from tragedy against the backdrop of Arthur "Killer" Kane's life story.
