Entry for Scifi20in20
So these are my entries for Scifi20in20 and Farscape20in20.
I claimed HG Wells from Warehouse 13 for Scifi20in20 and be warned, there are spoilers in here for the last episode of season 3. I loved that ending and I had to icon it. *squee* Otherwise these icons pretty much show what I'm developing as a style now I guess: Very symplistic icons (I love close crops), pastel colors, soft light, very high on textures, not so much on saturation.
For the Farscape20in20 icons however my claim was Aeryn and Scorpius, but I realized very soon that I wouldn’t be able to make that work. I’ve never before worked with blocking/blending and I frankly suck at it, so the five icons I had to make were bad enough and I thought I wouldn't be able to make more, so I included Scorpy!John, Harvey and Harvey!Aeryn in my claim and there were still not enough caps to make this work. I didn’t realize it was so hard to always have two people in your icons. Seriously, this set nearly was the death of me.
But I got through it, thanks to katiemariie who suggested the John Quixote scene (that might just have saved me), and john_scorpy, whose voice in my head enabled me to make the last three icons. I don't know if he'll thank me for this, but there you are. ;)
