Life in a small town can be stifling, we all know too much about each other. Yet here on a ‘day out’ we are comfortable together. The bus lurches past misty pastures, there is talk of milking, and how cruel dawn starts become; how the prices for milk are bad.

Thanks!! I swing from saying it will be good to have the knee fixed, to sheer panic when I review what can go wrong, and also have had no severe pain for months! but the damage shows on X rays, so must listen to reason.

Gambling is almost always a bad idea...but it certainly has it's allure. Well done.

I once took a trip to Atlantic City, and not being much of a gambler myself, the sadness of the place overwhelmed me. This was a well done entry.
