One of P's friends from work informed P, that after our baby was born to expect some tears, at the strangest time. His wife had a child not long before A was born. P told me this, and I laughed and said something along the lines of "as if I'd do that"....not being an easily emotional person that I was back then. Well, A was born, a week we were home and I'm sitting at the dinner table, eating my meal just crying. P looks at me and asks what was I crying about and all I could do was laugh-cry and say "I have no idea, the tears just started" - LOL!

So many hormones run through our bodies when we're pregnant and afterwards it's amazing how any of us stay sane!!! The things we do as women, hey?!??! I'm sure that most women have those feelings throughout their pregnancies, some to a great extent, some to a lesser extent. And some, like me, when they least expect it.

I think that was really the only time my hormones got the better of me, at the table that night, for no reason at all....I think P thought I didn't like the meal or something - even though I'd cooked it - LOL! It's hard to tune into and out of how we're feeling though.

And FYI - I LOVE everything about that photo of your kids....the colour of it, the old spade, the over dressed children...who are still having an awesome amount of fun at the beach. The white shoes and socks, which totally crack me up....I just love it all. It's a wonderful photo and I'm sure you cherish it, and the thoughts it conjures up in your mind when you look at it (even those of your MIL).

Yes you are so right. I was like the weeping Maddonna, its the hormone rush of the milk happening I was told. Had a couple of sessions like that. For no sensible reason.

That photo yes its so alien to the way kids are normally dressed! but sort of cute, I was always soaking white socks on that holiday. I have a worse one of me in a ghastly dress I made, and all of us in home made cardigans. MIL was so kind though, and a brilliant knitter.
