Ok. I take my earlier post back :) a little smooth talking by john got us booked on the ferry for Sunday without Id for him which means we are going to Shetland after all :) also, whilst eating a piece of tiffin, a piece of johns tooth broke off which meant we left skara brae in a hurry, having only got as gar as the cafe... A quick call to the tourist info place got us the number of a couple of dentists and they were able to fit him in with an emergency appointment within the hour. This is despite a current shortage of dentists in the Islands. The fix is only a temporary filling as the tooth was too sensitive for a properly permanent one, but it was quickly done and only cost eleven quid. Phew. So, tomorrow will bring another attempt at skara brae (Minus tiffin) and soon we will be exploring Shetland :)
