Feelin' Groovy
Well, I'm feelin' Groovy. I think I'm in the Doctoral program, except for the details. I'm waiting on the program chair to call me back so I can set up a formal visit to discuss what classes they'll take from my old program, and if I can get credit for work experience via their internship hours. That would cut down my time in the program considerably. Must Think Positive (channeling Capt. Kirk)....
Bought a whole load of shit off ebay; feeling some buyers remorse, but not much. I'm looking for a Warwick Corvette fretless bass now. It will probably take until next month before I have the funds ($700 - 1,000 or so), but it will be a good b-day present for myself if I can swing it. I must also consider that Christmas is a-comin' and I think we're going skiing so I need to save. My wealthy wife will probably take care of the details financially, though. She labors under the notion that I'm broke all the time, which impels me to spend more money (to quote Kinky; why the hell not?)
I'm just kidding, of course...
Band practice last night; worked up Third Rate Romance (Amazing Rythm Aces), The Weight (The Band), and another song I can't remember (really stuck with me). That's why I make notes, I have no short-term memory left, having spent it on bagels and lox in my youth.
Gotta run soon, just wanted to touch base and check in.
Grandmas still in hospital. Miss her terribly.
