Cuts through deeper than we know. The jester hates his mask but everyone loves a show. We love to laugh at the masquerade and the way the boy hides, what we perceive as truths, he knows to be lies. We tell him we believe and he is able to fly, but we shoot him down whenever he fucking tries. He can be anything if it is convenient for our needs, but otherwise it is nothing more than pretentious and selfish deeds. He assuages our worst fears by wearing the jester's mask, and what we fail to see is how it is beginning to crack.
