summer wrap-up...

Man, it's been awhile.

I'd love to be updating more, and online more, but as I mentioned I am still nursing that tendonitis problem. I am currently in a promising round of physical therapy, however, and hope to be well soon...

Summer is drawing to a close already... I can hardly believe how quickly it passed. Things turned out alright... nothing extraordinary but not bad.

I ended up being afforded a great opportunity for an internship on campus in the office of alumni relations. I got to write a lot of correspondence, help plan events, write press relases, put together event schedules, and even editing documents and things... plus a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting right now. It was a really great experience. My bosses, Liz and Kate, are awesome. I am having lunch with them tomorrow--a sort of closing off of the experience. Should be nice :)

Plus, it was a PAID internship, so I saved a little cash! My first real paying job, if you don't count the compensation from student organizations. It's really fun getting paid... looking forward to when I can get paid lots... haha

Did some other really fun things... Brian and I saw Green Day with Jimmy Eat World last week, which was the most rockin show I've seen in awhile. The Green Day guys are really amazing performers, even live. Great time.

This past weekend we headed up to the Renaissance Faire, which was a good time :) It was nice to hang out with Prost and Lauren, too. I hope they make babies some day, because they are cute.

We also stopped by Keith's parents' lakehouse, which is insanely enormous and expensive and nice. I was a bit under the weather this weekend, so we had to leave early... I feel terrible about that, and I'm really sorry everyone for being a pain in the ass :/ But I had fun while it lasted, and hope to go back some day! It was nuts, I can't even tell you.

I also read HARRY POTTER 6!!!! and the DaVinci Code, both of which rocked my world and both of which I highly recommend.

Anyway, everything else is pretty much drawing to a close. The Leader Orientation issue is done!! Just now looking forward to its release at the end of the month! Starting to psyche myself out for school again, getting books and whatnot... but I am really looking forward to it! It'll be nice to go back.

Sam starts college this year at DePaul... that seems weird... we're getting old! And Brian turns 21 next month, also weird. Growing up is weird. It's like you're the same person but smarter, and more accepted by the adult population.

It's hard to try and sum up the entire summer in one entry. It was a good summer, as a whole. I was glad for summer, and I'll be glad for fall. Now that I love school, I don't feel so hung up on summer anymore... so, yeah.

Just looking forward to enjoying these last couple weeks (school starts August 29th). I finished my internship and the Leader now, so I have this time off to myself. Krissy, Wojtek, Brian and me are going to see LBC on the 28th--a last summer hurrah! yeah I said hurrah. what.

Well, I spose that's all for now! I <3 you all, call me or something :)

PS. Brian is hot, and I love him something crazy.
