That was warm and wonderful. The sex was beautifully done. Jack's reluctance to believe Ianto was real was heart breaking. I would love to read more about them traveling together.
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked this. I'm considering where I might take this if I do continue with their travels. If nothing else, it's an excuse for more pr0n!
::grins:: Glad you think so! I doubt RTD would actually do it, because I wouldn't trust anything he did after the revolting mess he's made of the canon, but I tried to use a device that would fit into the canon and not seem too deus ex machina. I'm happy you approve of it! Thank you for the compliment!
Well...maybe not RTD...but one of the other more sensible writers. I really hate creators who fuck up thier own creations just to screw with fans.
No, you can't kill Ianto. Yes, yes, it makes for great TV, and great drama and I love character death just as much as the next person. But srsly? You just killed YOUR ENTIRE cast! You will have to add new characters and that can be the kiss of death.
Which is the only ray of hope I have. Ianto is supremely popular. He's got his own freaking shrine in Cardiff, 15,000 british pounds were raised in his name for children. Torchwood can bring people back (and they have), plus you only have Gwen and Jack and that other chick. Andy if we're lucky. (And PLEASE I want him!) If anything, Ianto may come back.
Death is not the only way to advance the narrative. IMHO, it is the refuge of the weak plot or the blocked writer who just decides to screw it all.
RTD has said in interviews that Ianto is not being brought back. He has made fun of fan campaigns to do so and he seems adamant. If Ianto has a chance at all, it will come from others who own Torchwood who recognize that RTD is burning the show to the ground and pissing on the ashes.
I'm bitter. Don't mind me. Pointless character death is the worst possible plot development device I've ever seen.
When the muse whispers, I write, and the muse gets talkative when there is good feedback. I've gotten much better feedback on this than I'd anticipated, so we'll see!

And it's so amazingly simple! Hell, if RTD uses this device in Torchwood I wouldn't be surprised! Bravo!

Anyways...do we get to see more of this line?
