Oktoberfest!
If you are reading this and you are (or will be) in the Seattle area, you are invited to an Oktoberfest celebration at my place in Lynnwood this Saturday, October 10th, starting at 5:00 PM and going until 10:00 PM or so.
I will provide bheer (mostly lager, in keeping with the theme) and some eats. (Mostly wurst. But not the worst wurst! Oh no! I will provide the best wurst possible!) There will be a grill going and a fire in the firepit and a place to play card games and, did I mention bheer?
If you would like to come, please RSVP here and I will get back to you with contact info and directions. Bring a salad or desert if you like (not required). Bring something to grill if wurst isn't good enough for you. Bring your own favorite ales if you enjoy sharing them or can't stand lagers. Wear your lederhosen if you have any. (Don't go without pants if you do not. Unless you wear a kilt or something. Then it's OK.) Do dress warmly as the evening will likely get cool.
Looking forward to seeing you, all distorted through the bottom of a liter mug!
Edit: Crap. Maybe not! In the two hours since I posted this invite a slight headache has turned into a big headache, a slightly sore throat, and a fever of 100+ degrees. (I feel like I am freezing to death.) So, unless this is over by tomorrow, I'm probably not going to want to do the party...
