Apparently, Golden Girls repeats are moving from Lifetime to the Hallmark Channel. This is the worst news I have EVER HEARD. I don't have the fucking Hallmark Channel! What a nightmare

That show is filthy! I remember when I was a kid, I used to pretend not to get the sex jokes, because I knew my mom wouldn't let me watch it if she knew I knew what they were talking about.

It is seriously the most scandalous sitcom ever. My mother banned me from watching Charles in Charge, and yet somehow I was allowed to watch a show where the word "slut" is used at least once an episode, simply because it was about old ladies.

My favorite Golden Girls line ever is when Rose says "Hubba hubba, zing zing, baby, he's got everything!" about one of Blanche's boyfriends. I think about it almost every day.

Just reading that quote made me laugh hysterically. God damn the Hallmark channel for ruining my life!

There was an episode of Designing Women I distinctly remember in which one of ... Delta Burke's character's ... friends was a member of the Daughters of Bilitis, and Delta and the rest of the crew went to a meeting (or maybe a lesbian bar) with her. This must have been in the late 1980s/early 1990s. I didn't know that the Daughters of Bilitis were even still around then!

That sounds like the best episode of Designing Women ever. That shows a commitment to research on the part of the writers, although I would bet there was probably a lesbian or two on that staff.

And maybe -- maaayyyybeee -- a gay man. I know that sounds anomalous for a program about a group of sassy Southern belles who own a home decorating business. But I have the strangest inkling about this one.

that's terrible news. the women's network here shows the golden girls, but no designing women. there is no designing women in canada!!!
