Not too shabby.

I can only begin to imagine the unending deluge of hype we citizens will have to endure in the year leading up to the release of Indiana Jones 4. Unfortunately, I know myself too well to be able to pretend that I'm not going to overanalyze and obsess over every little bit of it.

Thus we have the first picture of Harrison Ford on set. Oh, my. First of all, it's nice to see that 10 years plus after the events of The Last Crusade, Dr. Jones still hasn't expanded his wardrobe. Secondly, how does one get blood only on one's knee? The suspense! And thirdly, of course, for the record, yes, I would. Still.

And finally, though this really has nothing to do with the picture itself, I still can't believe Shia LaBeouf. I mean both his presence in the role of Dr. Jones Jr. Jr. a role which is rightfully mine, as well as in general. He's not one I expected to rise to super stardom and be in every other movie coming out. I suspect the saturation may prove lucrative, although ultimately unfortunate. I mean, Transformers is going to make 600 gajillion dollars, but it's going to suck so amazingly, amazingly badly. Although this being the major motion picture industry, I doubt that will matter too much at the end of the day.

geeking out, movies, indiana jones, future disappointments
