If I hopped in the front seat and I was your only passenger, would that be cool with you or would it make you uncomfortable?
I always wonder this. I don't take taxis a lot, but I do take hotel/airport shuttles when I am traveling for work. I always feel weird being the only person in the back of the van to the hotel, so I often sit up front. I have some squeamishness about being a rich snob in the back of the van, and I'd rather have a conversation up front.
I prefer if my fares sit in the back, assuming there's not four people and they HAVE to sit int he front. Otherwise the only people who really sit up front are the old, the obese, and the mentally handicapped. I'm not bothered by people sitting in the front, but in the back, it feels more appropriate since they're paying me and all.
so, do you have the bullet-proof partition like the cabs here in The City? And is that your actual taxi in the userpic--or just a generic image you found online? And when are you going to start taping "Cash Cab: Madison?"
Sorry for all the questions. It's late and I'm feeling a bit wacky
No, we don't have much crime here, which is the only reason I'd do the job. If I was anywhere bigger, I wouldn't do it. There's an occasional robbery but it's very few-and-far-between, so it's not worth partitions yet.
That's not my cab. It's a stock photo from gettyimages.com :)
Since Jack won't answer, I will - it's totally fine. People sit up front all the time - I actually always feel invasive about it, but I guess they don't mind a bit. :)
You need to give me more time - I always reply back, when I'm feeling loquacious, like now :) And yes, while sitting up front is fine, I prefer if they sit in the back :) (Except you.)
I prefer if they sit in the back, but I'm not bothered by the front and mostly the only ones that want to sit in the front are the old and obese who have a hard time getting in and out of the back.
Do your fares ever sit up front?

Thanks in advance for your manners advice,
