Writer's Block: A Last Day Well Spent

Jun 10, 2008 14:33

Maybe it's my headache that won't go away today or maybe it was the Tourists who insisted on learning about the tour based on that show on the telly or maybe it's the fact that I thought this over long and hard since we had to deal with 1918, but if I had only one day left on Earth for whatever reason, I would spend it doing the things I wanted to.

Damn I wish Owen was here to mock me for that last remark.

I would go to the beach, remembering when I was little and innocent and spend it with the person I loved most and remember that while we're fleeting, there are things that carry forward, that are ageless. I would spend it listening to music and laughing and enjoying a good bottle of Merlot.

I would tell those who I had issues with that I was sorry for anything I had done to cause them pain or strife.

I would sneak Myfanwy out with some really good chocolate from Godiva and let her fly under the cover of night, instead of letting her fly amongst steel and all of us.

I would dance in the rain and laugh, but my luck being as it is .. it'd be snowing on my last day on Earth.

I would tell those I love that I regret nothing and that they ... you've ... all made this worth while.
