My parents came up this weekend for my friend's wedding and they are currently transporting my bass, nylon string, amps, and keyboard back to Nebraska in anticipation of a move at the end of the summer. This means that for the first time in four or five years I'm left with just my old acoustic and strat for the next couple of months. I'm actually kind of excited about the prospect, because it'll force me to just be a guitar player again for a while. Sometimes I get so caught up in trying to learn other instruments that I forget how much I like playing guitar. It's also been way too long since I made any significant progress in my six-string playing.
I also hope that being separated from my "backup arrangement" instruments will encourage me to get more songs actually written. My brother said that he'd be interested in recording when I'm out in Omaha, and it would be great to have some songs ready for actual drums and/or piano.
