Sometimes I wonder if my memories of my hometown have been twisted by hindsight. Every so often, though, I stumble upon concrete evidence that supports those memories. I present, for your pleasure, this week's edition of the Times-Indicator, Fremont's local newspaper. A pretty good picture of the town (with the exception of the religious zealotry) can be formed from the four articles.

I've also been brooding over this piece by Nick Hornby in the New York Times. I'm kind of curious as to what my fellow wannabe rawkers think.
