Oh, fantastic!

Great look into Sam's head, and the struggle with being a woman in
"this man's army" (or Air Force). And this:

"Colonel Jack O'Neill, sir. I'm Major Carter's commanding officer on our current project. Unfortunately for Jacob's unborn grandkids, she's rather valuable to our work right now, and apparently enjoying it. She hasn't demanded a transfer yet, anyway."

Go, Jack!

And then he asks if it's okay to be rescued. Lovely.

Great stuff!

Oh, this is awesome!

"If you're trying to flatter me for a better review, you're too late. I already handed it in to Hammond last week."

"So I'm free to desert you, sir?"

I love how you write their interactions. And the way you portray Sam in this - it rings completely true, especially the line about how she has changed through working at the SGC, not constantly needing to prove herself anymore. Brilliant.

I think that less credit is given to Sam for changing through the years than she deserves. Especially considering everything she's been through, and the company she's worked with.

Thanks for leaving feedback!

It's never easy dancing around politicians, but it seems Sam does a great job of it on her own. Great fic!

I loved the idea of Samas a minnow in the midst of the big fish...but with her own set of teeth.
