Great look into Sam's head, and the struggle with being a woman in
"this man's army" (or Air Force). And this:
"Colonel Jack O'Neill, sir. I'm Major Carter's commanding officer on our current project. Unfortunately for Jacob's unborn grandkids, she's rather valuable to our work right now, and apparently enjoying it. She hasn't demanded a transfer yet, anyway."

I love how you write their interactions. And the way you portray Sam in this - it rings completely true, especially the line about how she has changed through working at the SGC, not constantly needing to prove herself anymore. Brilliant.
