Where did you ring in the New Year? at a friend's house
Who were you with? high school friends and their parents, including one of my best friends of all time, Judy :)
Did you kiss anyone at midnight? nope
Did you make any resolutions? yes
If so did you keep them? surprisingly, yes, for the most part (mostly fulfilled in the last three months of the year)

Single/Taken? Taken
How many relationships did you have? one...and a flirtation :D

How many people did you kiss? just one :)
2006 Friends and Enemies......
Did you meet any new friends this year? YES! THEY'RE AMAZING!
Did any of your friendships end? perhaps without me knowing it...and one for reals
Did you dislike anyone? with a vengeance
Did you get into any fights? no physical ones...
Did you make any new enemies? oh boy, yes, the lab technician in the lab next door to mine at Cornell when i forgot about the eggs...
Did you resolve any fights? yes

Did you have a Valentine? yar :)
Did the Easter bunny visit you? nope :(
Did watch fireworks on the 4th of July? YES! Fired by Alex, his cousin, and a friend in a hair-brained scheme in Vermont in front of the entire Weston community!!
Did you dress up for Halloween? no, i blame it on Alex B.
What did you do for Thanksgiving? baked persimmon bread and introduced Alex to my parents
Did you make a list of gifts for the holidays? yes, for all the people i wanted to get gifts for and for myself a little
Did you receive what you wanted? YES, new laptop and new dress on the way!
Were you good this holiday season? yes, i didn't buy too much. and it was mostly on my bank account. the only large purchase was the laptop and i'm insisting it be my xmas and bday present.

Did you have a cake? no :(
What did you do for your birthday? I was interviewed by the Roth staff for several positions and we TOTALLY clicked. Alex brought me flowers. My family took me to brunch at Allee St. Michel, one of my fave places to eat.
Did you have a party? no :(
Did you get any presents? flowers...the HM position at Roth...random stuff from the family
2006......The Memories and Accomplishments!
Funniest Memory? Describing my Chem 130 compounds in the context of foodstuffs, e.g. "This started out looking like egg custard and ended up as corned beef"
Saddest Memory? Nearly breaking up with Alex and thinking to myself, "I'm bringing him home for Thanksgiving. I can't break up with him now."
Most Embarassing Memory? The flirtation? Andrew having to drive me home from Gala?
Best Accomplishment? Feeling like I belong at Stanford, getting better grades and defining my goals, becoming my own woman, feeling satisfied with my work, staffing at Roth, becoming more independent, restoring balance to my relationship with Alex, and discovering that our love passed the test of fire

Was 2006 a good year? it was a bit rough for most of it, but it all served a purpose and all's well that ends well.
Do you have any regrets? YES
Did 2006 bring any new insights? mostly about who I am, what I want, and how committed I am to this relationship.
Do you think 2007 will top 2006? it better!
Do you have any goals for 2007? keep flossing, take the MCATs and do decently, keep my spirits up, keep OWOA afloat, not play piano, GET A POSITION IN A GOOD LAB, do something amazing every break i get
If you could relive any moment which would you choose? Thanksgiving break with Alex
If you could forget any moment what would it be? The utter despair I felt after the grades from the second round of midterms Winter quarter, or getting the Opening Committee declinement
Do you wish 2006 wouldn't end? no, couldn't be happier that it's over
Do you plan to do anything special for NYE 2007? possibly ice skating?
