friday: didnt go to school.
hung around harstfeild-jackson internationl airport people watching
with my dad until my uncle/cousins plane finally landed. there are
really weird people on this earth. and apparently all of them change
planes in atlanta. when my cousins/uncles plane finally landed, we went
about the task of trying to fit dive gear for 4 people in the back of a
car. which didnt actually work, so we had to ride all the way down
there with gear and wet suits between our legs. we pulled into camp
around 8, where all the dive people had already built a bon fire and
had gotten decently drunk. me and my cousin sat around giggling at the
bizzar conversation.
saturday: didnt sleep at all
because a chior of 9 full grown drunk men snored all night long in our
tiny cabbin. went diving in the caves for a little while, and then i
feel asleep in a small patch of sand because i was way too tired. got
woken up by sirens and helecopters because apparently someone died
right after they came up from the water. that was kind of scarry. but
even scarrier was the fact that we did a night dive that same day. so
it was tres dark, and i kept getting paranoid that some kind of ghost
diver was going to pop out from one of the rocks in the cave.
sunday: got a little smarter
and went off into the woods and pitched a tent far away from the cabin
full of snoring men. one of the guys on the trip tried to make us eggs
for breakfest that morning but the eggs we had were frozen. so they
tasted like dog food. really good diving that morning. but we left camp
around noon and drove to my grandparents house in orlando. which was
really uneventful.
today: we woke up at some
ungodly hour of the morning and i slept in the car until the sun came
up. what is normally an 8 hour drive from orlando to atlanta, my dad
managed to do in a little over 5 hours. the flordia/georgia state
patrol are going to team up and hunt my father down for the amount of
speeding laws he violated.
so yes..lots of drunken middle aged men, campfires, and intresting stories.
i dont have any pictures of it at the moment because my uncle jacked
the underwater camera, but they should be good when they get developed.
wee...track starts today. i hope my legs dont fall off.
