fed up with games

so i've finally become fed up with games in a sense. there are no difficultly fast-paced space shooters that allw you to go in full 3-d in any direction you want with a mass of enemy ships trying to annihilate you.

so i decided i'm gonna make a homegrown game that does this. where it'll probably be 5 levels. each level has different ships that all increase in difficulty. and then release it for free for people to download and play and it'll be SOMETHING that i can put in my portfolio and say "i made this from scratch". saying that, the textures aren't god-like because i hate texturing. they'll be plain for the mostpart. i'm doing it low-polygon style so there won't be very detailed ships. and we'll go from there. i made an enemy cruiser so far and a hero ship which is basically the player. maybe i'll make more ships for single player. who knows. but here's the collage images of the 2.

i made a video with the hero ship flying through an empty space area that had 2 stars close enough to shine brightly. and i'm gonna make another with more ships flying around and asteroids and debris and eventually add a short short battle sequence. it won't look great. but hey, whatever works. gameplay of graphics.

the game will be massive fast, and hard to play. and it'll feel like you're this hardcore renegade going up against an entire batallion. should be fun.
