I AM RIGHT THERE WITH YOU, I only follow the manga now, which has been barren of plot for a good 300 or so chapters. But it does look like we're getting some with the recent arcs so FINGERS CROSSED? Why is my favorite series so loooooong and filled with so much filler aaah.

FINGERS SUPER CROSSED I love the plot aspect of DC, I really hope it picks back up! So many unanswered questionssss!!

Ahahaha man, even if you narrowed it down to top 10 I'd have a hard time picking favorites. But! I will try.







I love the first one because she looks so squishy and is trying to be serious at the same time. But really just any icons that show her eyes, because Kaori does an amazing job of showing expression through just Machika's eyes and they are so pretty.

What pings you in a character and makes you want to app him/her? Has anyone asked you that yet?

Haha trying to figure out what pings me in a character is actually surprisingly difficult! I've played a wide array of different types all for different reasons, and it doesn't really seem as though there's too much of a pattern at first glance. If you split them up by gender there is kiiind of one, though... like I have noticed that I really enjoy playing stupid shounen heroes. The loud, oblivious, Jerks With Hearts of Gold who are impulsive, hard-headed and stubborn, but always try to do what they think is right. Pervertedness is a bonus. sob.

As far as female characters, there's less of a noticeable pattern here, as I've played a bunch of cutesy airheads, stubborn tsunderes, and coolheaded class president types. I've had the most fun playing the latter, so I suppose that would be a ping for me? Otherwise... idk!

I have noticed I don't tend to play my favorite characters in a series, and I'm not sure why this is. I also can't play villains; I prefer good-hearted characters, or misguided heroes. THIS ANSWER IS SO LONG, but that is my attempt to try and find a pattern through my app behaviors. XD; It is not easy. Usually, if I like a character and think they'll be fun to play, I just play them.

Tell me about Machika's canon? I know absolutely nothing about it but she's adorable and I love looking into new series I don't know!

I LOVE MY CANON A LOT it is wonderful and I shall explain it to you in all its wonder.

Uhm. Basically there is this girl (Machika) who is hunting down the immortal bounty Methuselah (his real name is Rain) because it is the one thing her grandfather could never do! And since her grandfather is dead and she has no other family and is all alone in the world, she has decided this is the best coping mechanism. So she finds Rain and chases him everywhere and there are wacky hijinx and she learns about his past and falls in love with him, etc. Basically she decides to help Rain become mortal again and the story is more about her looking for a way to do that and also not let the bad guys catch Rain so they can discover the secrets to his immortality.

There is also the guy who made Rain immortal in the first place and he is trying to get Rain to ~chase after him~ through time for reasons only known to him because he's a lonely reincarnated psychopath. So Machika has to also avoid not getting killed by him, because pissing Rain off is A++ for getting Rain to chase him or something.

Immortal Rain is on mangafox here and is kind of long but definitely worth it! The earlier artwork is not super awesome but it gets better. The characters all have nice development, even the side characters! And it's also finished in Japan so we just have to wait for the rest of the scanlations, which is roughly 5 more chapters I think.

There is a prequel that I would recommend before starting Immortal Rain, because it's a good way to get you hooked on the series. It's the story of how Machika's Grandfather met Rain, and it's here on mangafox. The artwork is awesome and the story is good, if a little heart-wrenching at the end.

I AM THE BEST AT PIMPING MY SERIES but I love it and it's got nice amounts of hilarity and seriousness and everyone should app from it so I get the most fabulous cast.

Gosh questions are hard. Hmm. What do you look for in a series? Is there a certain genre that pings you, setting, character type, or are you willing to pick up just about anything?
