In this case there are three points of concern.
1. Can I hit on your women?
Harper will hit on just about anything female, reasonably attractive, and appearing of age. He doesn’t care if they don’t like him, are a species he actually really dislikes, or just so happen to be on their way to their wedding. Or in one case, are evil. He will hit on them, at least at first. But for the purposes of camp I’ll have him back off/just not start if for any reason this is a bad idea. Permission to hit on camp females?
2. Can I mess with/take apart/tinker/look at/hit on/etc your electronics and mechanical things?
Harper loooooves his electronics and mechanical things. Building them, and finding out how they work and talking shop with other mechanics/engineers/inventers. Especially new and shiny stuff he doesn’t have at home. And also antiques. (For example, he’s building a replica of the first aircraft to break the sound barrier in canon) He is also a genius and a pretty damn good inventor in his own right and will gladly give his input on your projects (whether the character likes it or not, sometimes) and well, he’s the one who got the Perseid’s teleporter actually working. Again, I won’t do this without permission and will stay away from anything that you say is off limits.
3. Can I recognize you?
Harper is very familiar with Earth pop culture and uh, what he calls “classics.” (which seems to be geek stuff like video games, movies and comics. He also swing dances) Offhand I remember him making references to Ms. Pacman, Aquaman, Silver Surfer, John Wayne movies and probably a couple others I missed because I’m not always that up on these things. It’s safe to say he’d be at least passingly familiar with the big name videogames, big name comics characters and popular/well known movies. Since he’s a Bostonian (albeit from about 3000 years in the future) he’ll have a very strong American leaning. So would he recognize your character and what pertinent bits might he know?
