Anthony was sitting in his room, bored, after just having completed the editing for the latest Lunchtime With Smosh. With a sigh, he pushed away his keyboard and stood, looking around for Ian. He found him on the couch, putting on his shoes. Anthony looked up at the television to see the weather report, and turned away, disinterested.
"Hey, where are you going?" Anthony asked his friend as he tied his shoe.
"Mom wanted help with the lawn or something. I'll be back soon." Ian said, head still bent. Anthony gave him a skeptical look that would've caused a huge roll of the eyes from Ian, had he seen it.
"The lawn? Ian, it's like 8:30 at night, what the hell-"
"I don't know man, maybe she said television, I wasn't paying attention." Ian sounded a bit annoyed, but Anthony kept pushing.
"You confused lawn for television?" His eyebrows were raised tremendously high up his forehead.
"I guess so." Ian stood, but didn't quite look Anthony in the eyes, causing suspicion to grow within him. "Look, I'll just straighten up the paperwork from that business meeting today, then I'll take off."
He moved to the black table and started shuffling the papers. Anthony stayed, studying him curiously. There was something off about his friend, and he felt an ounce of worry creep under his skin.
"Could you put this on my desk?" Ian asked him distractedly, handing him a folder. Anthony obliged, taking it and walking over to Ian's room. He was going to just toss it on the desk and leave, but the folder landed on the computer mouse, waking up the dark screen. All it took was a glance to make him stop in his tracks.
"What?" was the only thing he could mutter to himself as he looked at the title of the video, The Box Scene. He couldn't recall making a Box Man video with that title. Making sure the volume was low enough so that Ian couldn't hear it from the other room, he replayed the video.
Wait, is that the guy from Glee?
He checked the video description and found nothing. He clicked the 'more from' of the video maker and scrolled down the list. 'Santana's Coming Out Scene?' 'Kurt's Yearbook Message to Rachel?'
  Aren't these all Glee characters?
He opened a new tab and went to Ian's Twitter, checking to see who he was following: Dianna Argon, Lea Michelle, Chris Colfer, Jane Lynch. All stars of Glee.
Realization dawned on him, and he stared blankly at the screen for a minute before he could pull his thoughts into one coherent sentence: Ian is a huge fan of Glee.
He narrowed his eyes suspiciously before opening a new tab. With determination, he Googled what time Glee would be on, and gave a low chuckle when he saw it. The season premiere was coming on soon, and Ian was actually leaving their house to go watch it. With his mom.
Well he couldn't just let this be, of course. He had to taunt his friend.
"Hey, Ian! Still here?" Anthony called out as he left Ian's bedroom.
"Yeah, but I'm almost done." Ian said, rushing over the stack of papers.
"Listen, Ian, I'll finish this up, you go to your mom's." Anthony said, hiding a devious smile as he clapped his friend on the back.
"Thanks, man." Ian put down the papers and gave him a tired smile, then grabbed his keys from the table and walked towards the garage.
"I mean, you wouldn't want to miss Glee." Anthony said over his shoulder, and Ian froze. He turned around after a moment and gave Anthony a guarded, awkward laugh.
"What do you mean?" Ian said, turning to him with a false look of confusion. His cheeks were burning red, and Anthony knew he had him cornered.
"Season three of Glee premieres tonight." Anthony raised an eyebrow. Ian looked around, and Anthony could see the panic rising in him.
"I, uh, I wasn't aware." He cleared his throat.
"Really." Anthony responded flatly, and swore he could see the beginnings of a heart attack brewing in front of him.
"Yeah." Ian uttered, weakly and quietly, and Anthony could no longer hide his smirk.
"So is 'The Box Scene' from your favorite episode?" He asked, and Ian gave a sigh of defeat.
"It's a deleted scene from the Christmas special."
"Ha!" Anthony pointed at him, loudly triumphant.
"Fuck you." Ian turned to leave, but Anthony called out.
  "Ian, wait!"
"What for?" He gave Anthony a hard look, and he realized he really pissed his friend off. He was having fun now.
"We have to talk about this." He couldn't stop smiling.
"There's nothing to talk about, it's a TV show." Ian said, voice cold and defensive.
"Yes, there is, I mean if you're in the closet or something-"
"Watching Glee doesn't make me gay, Ant."
"But wanting to have sex with men does, and I think Glee is occasionally a side-effect." Anthony pointed out, and Ian struggled to control his annoyance.
  "I'm not gay."
"You're just a hardcore Glee fan." Anthony said seriously, then the smile returned to his lips again. "What are you guys called again?"
"Gleeks." Ian muttered quickly under his breath.
"Sorry, what was that?" Anthony cupped his hand against his ear.
"I'm a Gleek." Ian admitted, slightly louder.
"Didn't quite catch that." Anthony leaned forward, and he could feel the hatred oozing from Ian's every pore.
"I'm a Gleek, okay?" He yelled, and turned away, face bright red. He looked ashamed of himself, and Anthony's smile softened.
"Who else knows?" He asked softly, taking an inquisitive step to look at his friend's face.
  "Just Mom and Mel."
"And she didn't break up with you when she found out?" Anthony questioned, eyes twinkling with mirth.
  "That's not funny."
"Shut up, I'm hysterical." Anthony said, and Ian went silent. His head was hanging low as he stared at his shoes, moving one of his feet only to kick a pen that had dropped onto the floor sometime during the day. His arms were crossed as if he was wrapping himself in a hug, in need of warmth and protection. Anthony was reminded of a puppy, and a fuzzy little feeling grew inside him.
"You realize I'm going to tweet about this, right?" Anthony finally said after a minute of silence, and Ian only nodded.
  "And tell the whole crew."
  "Yeah." He responded softly.
"And make a video about this."
"Great." A hint of sarcasm shone through his defeated reply.
"And tease you until one of us is dead."
  "Got it."
"Great. Now sit down." Anthony pointed to the couch, and Ian turned to finally look him in the face, with a confused (this time genuinely) expression.
"What?" Anthony just gave him a small smile.
"Glee's about to start. If you drive to your mom's now you're gonna miss the beginning."
"You want me to watch Glee here?" Ian clarified, and Anthony shook his head.
"I want us to watch Glee." Anthony said, adding to Ian's confusion. "If you like the show, then I'll get into it, too."
"Seriously?" He raised his eyebrows so high they disappeared beneath his hair.
"Yeah, man, if myself and the rest of the world is going to make fun of you for liking this show, we might as well be able to make fun of me, too."
"Are you the closeted one here?" Ian asked, and Anthony laughed.
"No, man, just helping a friend." And they smiled at each other, their friendship sweet and obvious. "Couch. Now."
Ian raced to the couch, sitting down and throwing his keys on the table. Anthony sat next to him as he turned on channel five, and the show started.
  "Is that Kurt's sister?"
  "Rachael doesn't have any siblings."
"Is that the girl who was pregnant at the beginning?"
  "No, that was Quinn."
"Wait, is that the guy with the mohawk's twin?"
"No, Puck and Santana aren't related."
  "So who's Blaine?"
  "Kurt's boyfriend."
"Is he the blonde one?"  "No." Ian sighed. It was going to be a long night.
