Is there anything better than having a new book to read? Perhaps the careful choosing of which new book to get. After an hour's deliberation at Borders, I finally settled on Sorcery & Cecelia or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot (a frankly ridiculous and rather off-putting title, but the book itself sounds completely charming) and A Gathering Light by Jennifer Donnelly which looks to be lovely. I was also deciding between Markus Zusak's The Book Thief and Pamela Dean's Tam Lin. And all of them are from the young adult section, funnily enough.
