It's official, folks: I no longer have a life.
I didn't study for the math exam I had yesterday because I was watching speed skating all day on Sunday. I got to work half an hour late today because I was watching Beckie Scott and Sarah Renner kicking ass in the cross country sprint (while eating breakfast) and I couldn't tear myself away from the

I haven't been watching a lot of the women's hockey if only because I get too depressed and sad for the other teams. The Canada/Italy game was BRUTAL, OMG. I couldn't watch but kept looking at it because it was so morbidly fascinating.
The pairs fall was just awful, I keep getting a stomachache just thinking about it. And when they interviewed the Russian pair about what they felt when they saw that happen and the Russian woman said, "Nothing special"?! Holy crap, that's vile! I almost threw up watching it.
Johnny Weir is like a princess. His costume was awesomely bad, but his performance was spot on. And I have to go on the record as saying that I loveloveLOVE Sasha Cohen. She cracks me up for some reason, because she is so distant and robotic. She rocks.
I've been glued to speedskating (Joey Cheeks! Donating $25K to charity! Talking about genocide in his press conference), skiing (<3Giorgio Rocca<3) and skating. I've also been hysterically laughing at the performance of Bode "King of the World and Media" Miller. Life is good.

She actually said that?! OMG, I can't believe I missed it! Aaaaargh. Figure skating is just so wonderful, with all the drama and the cattiness, that I always find myself wondering why I only pay attention to it around Olympic time.
foodsthatcan informed me yesterday that the glove he was wearing was supposed to be the swan's beak. (Is this common knowledge? Am I just really slow for not having figure it out myself?) Also, he named it! He named it Camille! That is just so insanely bizarre that I think I love it. And Sasha Cohen...I swear she's almost psychotic, and I think that's what makes her so interesting to me.
I love speed skating, but I really should start paying attention to athletes from other countries, because I feel so lost every time a non-Canadian wins something. Hee! Also, I must admit I wasn't all that aware of Giorgio until your most recent entry, but now I have seen the light! He is beautiful.
Life is good and we have the Olympic games to thank for that.
