No, he was an architect, and never was in the armed forces--he had gone to enlist and was pulled out because his work was considered vital to the war effort.

I think of Clovis as having very little besides the Air Force base and the stockyard, but I guess all of those buildings did need an architect to draw up the plans.

I didn't notice until now! And Mike is missing a shoe...

When we were four and two-and-a-half, we were getting ready to move to a new house and Mike and I found a path made of books that led all the way down the hallway and into a bedroom. Of course we followed it, I leading, and at the end, on the final book, we found two chocolate cookies...
