Trip post!

Got back from Dingle about 3 hours ago. I feel dead on my feet, but after showering and eating some dinner I feel like posting. Plus I'm going to have a busy week and probably won't feel like doing it this week.

Anyway, I'll preface this post saying that I spent the weekend in a state of panic/dread/anxiety/self loathing. I lost my wallet - which included my UL student card, my Mac student card, my OHIP card, my VISA, my debit, my immigration card, my key card for my residence, my out-of-country insurance card, my optimum card (NOO! lol), and ... almost 200 Euro. YESSSSSSS. I tried to have as much fun as I could, but the whole time my brain was like "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyouarefucked" over and over and over. So yeah. lol. Gonna be fun times over the next little while, getting all my shit back in order - and I JUST finished getting everything dealt with :'(

UGGH. So I just accidentally deleted my whole post and I am TOO TIRED to write it again. THEREFORE, behold, dot jots.

Our favourite pub

Day 1:

- Got to hostel
- Went to the pub
- Walked home in dark; the stars were pretty and numerous
- Really cold room+Worrying about wallet = didn't sleep much

Sheep in a field on the way to town

Anne in the harbour - that's pretty much all of Dingle behind her.

Day 2:

- Up early
- Lots of walking
- Everything was obscenely pretty
- Went to an aquarium - enjoyed it possibly too much
- Ate fish for lunch, despite hating fish
- More walking/shopping
- Freshly baked treats (carrot cake for me)
- Sitting by the fire in a pub, playing cards and drinking hot chocolate
- Irish stew for dinner
- 2 pubs, drank Bulmer's, home early (all of us were tired)

My favourite picture from the aquarium. Hee!

Day 3:

- Up at 10
- Breakfast at the restaurant we had lunch at the day before; there was a really cute British family sitting near us
- Bought groceries for the trip (digestives)
- Bus ride back was sooo pretty - mountains, coastline, sheep, rolling hills, hairpin turns, cottages etc. etc
- Really nice English (?) busdriver with intense piercings was upset about me losing my wallet; took me to tell the inspector about it
- Inspector was really nice, very concerned, but didn't think it would turn up. I was sad.
- David tries to teach us all how to cut a deck of cards with 1 hand. We all suck.
- Get home around 5, totally exhausted.

There were a lot of friendly cats in Dingle - two in town, and two at the hostel. So cute!

In closing, it would have been an awesome trip if I hadn't lost my wallet, but it was still a really fun trip, and I'm so glad I went :) Here is my favourite picture:

In Dingle there is a dolphin named Fungi who has lived by himself in the bay since the 80's. We didn't see him. I like that they spelled his name wrong. lol.
