The Black Drew Brees

Intrigued by this title right? Just wait until you hear what it means.  But you'll have to wait until the end because first I want to post about my little Alex Star because he is now 6.5 months old, and I am trying to capture just a little bit of time in a post.  That's right...I said 6.5 months old!!!  Where in the world did the time go?????  I literally feel like I lost the first 4 months in a sleepless haze, so I am trying to catch every moment I can.
First, this baby could not be better.  He is extremely laid back.  I didn't think a baby could be more laid back than Drew, but it is possible because Alex does not get phased by anything.  Which is totally surprising because he does not really have a nap schedule except for the very long nap he takes after his morning feeding.  My mom and dad actually told me he is a pleasure to babysit because he is so easy.  He smiles and laughs and loves his big brother.  He watches his every move.  I cannot wait until they can play together.
He also is HUGE.  I mean linebacker big.  People always say this exact thing, "How old is he again?  Woah! He is big!"  Yes he is :)  He is a big cute ball of roly polyness.  He has has 5 teeth.  Can you believe that?  Drew didn't get his first tooth until he was 7 or 8 months old, and Alex got his first at 5 months and now has 5.  I guess God is prepping him for more advanced food because man does that kid love to eat.  He truly is a complete joy in my life, and I am in love with him :)

In other entertaining news, I am going to see a psychic tonight with my sister.  Have you ever heard of Sylvia Browne?  She and Montel Williams are BFF, and as I was an avid follower of Mr. Williams back in the day, I have grown up watching this woman.  I could probably go on to post a whole thing about whether or not she is real, but I don't have the time for that.  Pass your own judgement, but I figure I will at least be entertained and get to spend some quality time with my sister who is going with me.  Brad tells me that she will say, "I see that you just got punked and lost $60 on this ticket."  Thus you know his opinion of the matter :)

And now for the latest Drewisms:
 - Brad of course has the Saints Superbowl Video, and he has trained Drew to not only watch it but to ask to watch it.  The other night, Drew says, "Look Dad, it's the purple Drew Brees" as the Brett Favre highlights rolled.  Brad laughed so hard but then was totally taken by surprise as the Saints took the field, and Drew said, "Look, it's the black Drew Brees."  Brad at first thought Drew meant Reggie Bush and died at the fact that Drew thought he was a black Drew Brees.  I died at the thought of Drew ever saying this in public :)  It wasn't until later that we figured out Drew meant this because Drew Brees was wearing his black Saints jersey.  Ahh yes, the innocence of children who only know people as people.  I hope I can keep it this way for a long time :)

- This morning Drew told me he had something in his mouth.  I looked, but I couldn't see anything.  He then sticks out his tongue and takes off a piece of hair.  He says, "Yuck, I had a rope in my mouth."  Too cute right?  He makes me smile :)

Good Weekend Everybody!   Happy Father's Day!
