BIRTHDAY WEEK (PART II)
Okay so I left off at 8/2 Saturday Morning outlet store shopping. Yeah, kid in a candy store haha no joke.
Anyway, i can't remember when we finally left but we got back to Irvine at 645 ish and luckily I had called Maggianos that morn and asked them to push my reservation to 8. I literally hopped into the shower and got ready in like 20 minutes. Esteban came over and we carpooled to Maggianos together. I was a little sad that everyone was either really busy or out of town that night, so the circle of people was small but atleast it was good company. The final guest list included: Esteban, Kyle, Hannah, Micky, his cousin, Emone, her bf and Poonam. Because the guestlist was basically cut in half from the original list, Wade decided to treat everyone on behalf of my bday. <33333333333333 haha sorry but he deserved that many less than 3s. For my present he got me a Coach bag that I've had my eye since beginning of this season :) I is happy.
Dinner was fun, it was unlimited family style so there was a lot of food. After wards we were gonna go to a nearby gaybar called "Tin Lizzie Saloon." It was hilarious , our waiter who was oh so flamboyant asked me what my plans were and when i told him he gave this almost devious giggle and said "Oh THAT should be interesting " ...and it was haha. So afterwards wade and esteban took the children (emone, stanly and micky's cousin) back to my place while the rest of us headed over to the gaybar. We did a quick drive by and I must say we all felt a little intimidated haha. Kyle and micky were in a separate car but he called to tell me that he refused to go in without esteban and wade. I don't think Kyle has ever clenched his ass so tightly as he did in that moment lol. So Hannah Poonam and I pulled out our Ids, went in for 2 minutes, and came back out lol.. we ended up going back to my place and then finally decided to just head to the Circle and go to Ohara's. Had a few drinks, Jess showed up for about 15 minutes, and then the bar closed so we all went home. It was a good night, other than the part where I was extremely exhausted.
Sunday: Did a 2nd interview with an Optometrist in Laguna Woods that I really wanted to work for. She is a low vision specialist in an eye care rehabilitation center (and if you haven't already gathered it from he location, shes basically an old people eye doctor). This time her husband interviewed me and asked me silly questions like "what are 3 biggest challenges in ur life" and "what was a life changing moment for you up till this point" .. you get the idea. I think they really liked me and she had brought her kids and watched me interact with them and was pleased. Not that thats part of the job but she knows I worked at ECEC and maybe she wanted to see if I could be a nanny for her in he future? lol idk but i DO KNOW that she did like me because I got the job :D
I'm so excited to work here because she is willing to work with my hours, she is gonna teach me a lot of the medical stuff like billing, ordering uncuts, running the Visual field tester, conducting EPTs and the list goes on. And when my schedule is a bit more hectic she is gonna give me little optometric projects to complete over a certain time period so I can focus on that in my own time rather than do long days of busy work. OOOH im so excited!
Monday: class, work.
Tuesday: No class and went o happy hour at the Yardhouse. I;ve never been drunk at 4pm until now. They have some yummy appetizers and cheap drinks there from 3-6pm, i cant believe ive nevr heard about it before. Went with Poonam, Marie, their friend Gerry , and his roommate Minh. Gerry is a fun guy and strangely he reminds me of michelle's Raul in that big teddy bearish way haha. Even though i neer got to know Raul thats how i picture him to be lol. Anyway, they ordered me drinks on behalf of my one week birthday anniversary lol so I had a pomegranate martini made w/ SKYY citrus vodka YUMMMM and a Peach Cider. That was enough to get me almost drunk. Wow im a weakling now.. probably because I had been drinking since the previous wednesday lol. Went to BevMo after that where I got a jug of smirnoff haha im not sure why.. but at the time it seemed like the right thing to do :D Went to gerry's place after and wade met up with, played some drunken SSBB,
Wednesday: Class, then Marie treated me to dinner at Mosun in Laguna for my bday. DELICIOUS and the long wait was worth it. Got a raspberry lemon drop martini which was as yummy as it sounds, then went to this french restaurant/bakery called C'est La Vie for desert, then back to her sister's apt to watch project runway and Dodgeball haha. Awesome night.
Thursday: Ran some errands with Marie: southcoast to return stuff, supper at Champagne, then Bed Bath and Beyond. Did a ton of homework after that.
Friday: Class, gym, happy hour again with Wade and Poonam. Food Coma Nap. Writing lots of emails, figuring out my schedule, livejournal.
Its been a good break, I have a lot of things to look forward to, not including the fact that wade leaves in about 2 weeks :( I can guarantee I'm going to be really emo all of next month.
But for now, Imma focus on the happppyyyyy.
