Jack has taken Ann to his favorite Italian restaurant downtown. The snow has subsided, which means the reporters are out in full fashion. Luckily they hadn't encountered any on the way here. Jack hopes the trend continues tonight.

"Thanks for this," Ann says when they're seated.

She's looking better, though not really well-rested.

Jack smiles, a hand fumbling in one of his pockets for a charm. One of the safety pins pricks his finger, and he pulls his hand out, trying not to flinch.

"No problem."

Her eyebrows go up.

"You okay?"

"I'm fine." The charm he'll leave for later. "Are you?" He looks concerned.
